Symposium on Drug Dosing Studies
Date: 20 September 2018
Venue: UQCCR, University of Queensland, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital Campus, Brisbane
The symposium will cover a range of topics, focusing on: innovation in patient-centric sampling, applications of micro-sampling for drug dosing (both in the clinical and research environment), and novel bio analytical methods. The Symposium will explore the application of these alternative sampling strategies as applied to the hospital, outpatient and community environments. For more information, click here.
Advanced Population Pharmacokinetic/ Pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) Modelling: antimicrobials and immunosuppressants
Date: Thursday 13 to Saturday 15 September 2018
Venue: Union College, UQ St Lucia
The PK/PD workshop is designed for any healthcare practitioners involved in complex drug dosing and aims to build capacity in pharmacokinetic modelling and dose optimization of antimicrobials and immunosupressants.
The objectives of this workshop will be to:
- Define PK and PK/PD structural models that can be solved analytically and models that require different equations
- Analyse PK and PK/PD data sets
- Perform basic Monte Carlo simulations for PK and PK/PD analysis
- Optimize dosing for an individual patient using dosing software.
